Today, I’ll be taking the court for the Chicago Slice in the MLP Playoffs, facing off against the Atlanta Bouncers at 4 PM in Lake Nona at the USTA Tennis Center. It’s a thrilling time as we cap off the season with one last push to leave it all on the court.
A Personal Connection to Lake Nona
This playoff holds extra meaning for me because Lake Nona isn’t just another tournament stop—it’s a place that feels like home. We used to live here when Ryler was a national coach for Team USA, and our family has so many fond memories of this vibrant, close-knit community. We still own a house here (though it’s rented out now) and are looking forward to reconnecting with friends while we’re in town.
Challenging Conditions
Florida might be known for sunshine, but it’s delivering super windy and cold conditions today, which will definitely test all of us on the court.
A New Face on the Team
Unfortunately, we’re missing Brendon Long due to injury, which is a tough loss for our squad. But we’re excited to welcome young talent Wyatt Stone to step in. While the rest of the team isn’t at 100% either, we’re all ready to give it our best shot and enjoy the experience together.
